Welcome to Woolworths NetSetGO with Carlingford Netball Club at Don Moore Reserve, North Rocks.

 

NetSetGO is Australia’s official starter program for girls and boys aged 5 to 10 years. It’s a chance to learn the Netball basics, get outside and make some friends. For a lot of kids, this is the first time they’ll pick up a netball or chuck on a bib. It’s a learning experience. And a lot of fun.

 

The program has been developed to provide kids with the best possible learning and playing experience to develop a positive introduction to Netball, ensuring enjoyment and continued participation. As you move through the tiers, you’ll pick up more advanced netball skills. One week it might be passing drills and ball games, next it could be shooting and practice matches. All Woolworths NetSetGO sessions are led by a friendly netball coach, using equipment built specially for kids.

Carlingford Netball Club is a registered NetSetGO Centre and offers the program across all three tiers - Net, Set and GO.

So what is Woolworths NetSetGO?
 

• NetSetGO is a modified version of Netball for Kids aged 5-10

• Sessions combine a structured, fun-based skills development and age appropriate match play

• Kids learn and practice the foundation Netball skills of throwing, catching, shooting, pivoting and changing direction

• Gain an understanding of the importance of teamwork, fair play and respecting the umpire

• The focus is on maximum involvement, being active and having fun

• All abilities get an equal chance to participate
   

The three separate NetSetGO registration tiers are detailed below;
 

• NetSetGO “Net” – Carlingford Netball Club Beginners Squad is a 8-week introductory Netball skills and activity program for participants turning 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 years by 31st December 2024. The Squad will run in Term 1 on Wednesday afternoons (5.30pm-6.30pm) from February 7 to March 27 at our home courts at Don Moore Reserve, Tiernan Avenue North Rocks.

• NetSetGO “Set & GO” - Modified Games - players turning 6, 7, 8 & 9 years by 31st December 2024. Modified matches on Friday nights at Pennant Hills Park which emphasise fun, participation and skills learnings in a non-competitive (no competition ladder) and safe environment between May 3 and August 23. Team training is held midweek at Don Moore Reserve.

• Under 10's Competition - players turning 9 & 10 by 31st December 2024. The start of competitive Netball played on Saturday Mornings at Pennant Hills Park between May 4 and August 24 with team training held midweek at Don Moore Reserve. Finals Games player in September for successful teams.

Registration fees for each tier are inclusive of insurance, the NetSetGO Participation pack (Netball and Training Shirt) and registration with Carlingford Netball, Hills District Netball Association and Netball NSW. Club uniform and merchandise purchases are in addition to the registration fee.
